The Kulia Roots Fest is a benefit concert series for the Center of Hawaiian Language of the University of Hawai'i. Kulia, meaning to strive, is our goal in creating a lasting foundation. This will be the first ever Kulia Roots Fest, featuring acts from around the world. Each band has a conscious awareness of their surroundings, capturing the essence of what defines Roots Music. An uplifting concert experience will be delivered to our audience, all the while highlighting a main ingredient of our Hawaiian Culture, the language.
